MY FIRST event as an ambassador for BLUETONIC! a charity that promotes wellbeing in, on and around the water. On the evening of TUE JUNE 13 from 6.30 pm, I'll be at hand at the beautiful spring fed waters of Spring Lakes on the border of Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.
You can have a dip or swim in the lake and enjoy a sauna, followed by vegan or meat chilli 'n' rice with tortilla chips and a bar/drinks afterwards. I'll also be leading an optional
yoga/qigong & mindfulness meditation session by the lakeshore and doing a Q&A with YouTuber star Rachel Andrews of Everyday Athlete who will host a question and answer session about blue spaces:
Back in the marquee, there will be a creative writing session and a performance by 'Under the Bridge' a men's choir (as seen on BBC EM) that are raising awareness of the importance of men's mental health through group singing, open water swimming and paddle boarding.
We are raising funds for free Swimsafe sessions that teach young adults and their families about water safety. Last year 1,000 young people accessed these sessions.
There are 2 spaces available in our car if any of you would like a lift with Johnny and myself.
