TRANSCENDENTAL ERADICATION
via sorbitol traps and spice trade maps
they arrived in a Firebird Spittle,
moaned about the wind and the turn
in the weather with their
fangs dissolving and roots hanging out.
In the cavernous pit stop of the mouth
the molar bears huddled-
the lick of extinction
would soon take them out
and all who witnessed crumbled,
collapsed into knots then escaped
on a cough-
that felt like levitation.

In a new life in the old world
where drones were clumping,
we sang songs about peace
and how fish were falling
out of the sky.
*Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb) is a bacterial pathogen that causes Tuberculosis (TB), a devastating disease that is the leading infectious cause of death in the world. Mtb has developed cunning tactics to survive in the human body for decades. Research has discovered that it feeds on certain sugars thus possessing a deadly ‘sweet tooth’. Scientists are currently working on how to starve it.
